The South West RDA is closing

We will be operationally closing on 31 March 2012 and then finally abolished, in common with all other RDAs across England, on 30 June 2012.

Regional Development Agencies were set up in 1999 to help improve the quality of life and economic prosperity in the English regions. The South West RDA led the development of a sustainable economy in South West England, creating the conditions for business and communities to thrive.

2010/11 was our busiest ever year. Read more about our final projects and investments as well as a longer look back over a decade of economic development.

Some of our responsibilities have transferred to other government organisations. For European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) enquiries, phone 0303 444 6556. For Rural Development Programme For England (RDPE) enquiries, phone 01392 266367. For RDA invoice or other finance enquiries, please call 01392 229158 (until 31 March 2012).
