Advisory Groups

Infrastructure

The Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) advises the Agency on transport and ICT issues and priorities, within the context of the Agency's remit, the Regional Economic Strategy and the Agency's Corporate Plan. 
 
Members of the group have been appointed on the basis of their expertise and individual contribution, and represent the interests of specialist groups to ensure input of specific advice. Examples of issues considered by IAG include:

  • Bristol Port Container Terminal
  • Rail Priorities in the South West
  • Regional Funding Advice
  • Regional Infrastructure Funding
  • Role of the Energy Savings Trust in transport
  • Role of ports for renewable energy
  • Live / Work and work hubs
  • Smart Cards
  • National consultations, including Towards a Sustainable Transport System
  • Importance of Connectivity to the SW Economy
  • RDA policy on Airports

The group meets bi-monthly and minutes from the meetings are posted here.
