Kelvyn Derrick MBA
For over ten years until 2007 Kelvyn Derrick was the Chief Executive of Hamworthy plc, an engineering company with 900 people worldwide and headquarters in Poole, Dorset. He led its transformation from a UK exporter to being an innovative technology company with genuinely international scope and floated the company on AIM in 2004.
Prior to joining Hamworthy, Kelvyn was a founding partner of a private equity firm backing growth companies and turn rounds. His earlier experience was principally in the international engineering sector in CEO roles spanning 15 years.
Kelvyn chairs the South West International Business Forum and is on the boards of Bournemouth University, Marine South West and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Kelvyn lives in west Dorset and has an MBA from the London Business School and an engineering degree from the University of London.
