Bristol Festival of Ideas 2009

The Bristol Festival of Ideas aims to stimulate people's minds and passions through an inspiring programme of discussion and debate, continuing throughout the year. This year's festival brings the best speakers to Bristol, and focusses on three key themes, including 30 years of Thatcherism, Darwin and Darwinism and Art and Science 50 years after C P Snow's 'Two Cultures' lecture.

Business Roadshows

The South West RDA and Business Links have been working in partnership to develop a series of roadshows providing business information, advice and support assisting small business owners and managers to survive and thrive in the current economic climate. The Real Help, Right Here, Right Now roadshows will be running from the 21st April through to the 19th May across the region. Enterprising Britain 2009

Enterprising Britain is a nationwide competition to find the most enterprising place in the UK. Regional winners will compete for the national awards. The 2009 regional competition is now open, for further information please see details on our website for Enterprising Britain.

UKTI ExploreExport event

Following the success of last year's inaugural ExploreExport event, UKTI South West is holding a second one-day export seminar, exhibition and discussion forum on Tuesday 30 June 2009 at The Grand Hotel in Bristol. 
 
The exhibition will provide a 'one-stop shop' for businesses looking for regional support to develop their international trade prospects. The event has already attracted a growing number of commercial officers from embassies, High Commissions and consulates across the globe, who will be on hand to answer questions about accessing their market.
