The South West RDA is responsible to Whitehall Departments
through its lead sponsor, the Department for Business Innovation
& Skills (BIS).
BIS has a strong interest in regional economic policy, has had
the specific responsibility for Regional Development Agencies in
England and will be overseeing our closure. The Department for
Communities and Local Government (CLG) has overall responsibility
within Whitehall for regional policy.
