FOI - How can I request information?
Any individual can request to see recorded information held by
South West RDA. You do not have to state why you are requesting the
information, although you will need to describe the information you
require. The more detail you give us, the quicker and easier it
will be for us to find and supply the information. Before making
your request, you can see if we routinely publish the information
you are seeking by checking our Guide to
Information.
Following receipt of your request South West RDA has 20 working
days in which to inform you in writing whether or not we hold the
information you have requested (this is known as the "duty to
confirm or deny") and, if this information is held by us, to
provide you with the information unless an exemption applies. We
will acknowledge your request within 3 working days.
Where an exemption applies, we will tell you which one we
have used, unless this would reveal sensitive information.
To request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
you will need to:
- Make the request in writing
- State your name
- Provide an address for correspondence (this can be an email
address)
- Describe the information you require (giving as much detail as
possible)
If you would like to make a request for information under the
Freedom of Information Act or the Environmental Information
Regulations you can email your request to foi@southwestrda.org.uk or
send it by post to:
