The St Columb Major Business Park was established in 2002 when a speculative 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) factory was constructed and subsequently occupied by Borders Books. 
 
In 2004 two further speculative factories were constructed and are now home to two very exciting companies, Worlds Apart and Infoteam International Services Ltd. 
 
In 2007, a 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) factory extension was completed by developer Priority Sites for Borders Books, creating the opportunity for a further 100 jobs over the next 5 years. 
 
Also in 2007, a further 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) of speculative factory accommodation was completed by developer Priority Sites. The five high-specification factory units which range in size from 464.5 sq m to 1,393.5 sq m (5,000 to 15,000 sq ft), will support around 70 jobs once fully occupied.
