The £10 million Somerset Skills Alliance Project is expected to help 5000 Somerset businesses. 
 
Led by Business Link Somerset, the project is a partnership of the county's business and training organisations which will help businesses evaluate the benefits of workforce training; identify training needs through specialist advisers and simplify the process of finding the right training provider. 
 
The 3 year project is jointly funded by both private and public sector with the public sector contributing approximately £5.4 million, including £2.9 million from the South West RDA.
