Low Carbon Economy - Live Webinar tomorrow (Wednesday 15th July)

The South West RDA is hosting a live Webinar which will highlight the importance of the South West in the delivery of the Government's vision for a low carbon economy.

Watch the press conference live via streaming video over the internet.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions via a comment facility on our press site (see URL below) or send your questions via Twitter by starting your Tweets with @SWRDAPress.

Who Keynote speakers will include a government minister; Stephen Peacock, the South West RDA's Executive Director Enterprise and Innovation; Paul Jordan, Business Development Director of Ocean Power Technologies Ltd and Carolyn Rule, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration, Cornwall Council.

What The Government will be publishing a series of measures to boost a low carbon economy including: a White Paper on 'The low carbon transition plan' as well as the UK's Renewable Energy Strategy, the Low Carbon Industrial Strategy and Carbon Reduction Strategy for Transport. The speakers will describe how the South West is at the forefront of these activities and there will be a significant announcement about the Wave Hub marine energy project.
