Lighting the Flame: Review of South West 2012 Summit (Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation - 3964.41kb) 
 
The South West RDA and Sport England South West together with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games' (LOCOG) Nations & Regions Group hosted a 24-hour regional summit at Bath on February 22 and 23 to start work on developing the Regional Vision to ensure that the South West England benefits from a lasting legacy from the 2012 Games.  
 
In the first South West England Summit of its kind, Mike Power, Chief Operating Officer of LOCOG, Maggie Farrell , Director of Trade and Investment from the State of South Australia and Dr Stephanie Cook, Olympic gold medallist, joined hosts, South West RDA and Sport England South West. Attended by over 60 leaders from both the public and private sector, the Summit worked towards developing a vision that will underpin the regional strategy and ensure the South West capitalises on the benefits of the 2012 Games to leave a sustainable community legacy.
