An umbrella trade organisation for the Food and Drink Industry in the South West of England, South West Food & Drink is supported by the South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA). 
 
South West Food & Drink was formed in 2002 to provide strategic direction and channel funding to promote, develop and foster the Food and Drink industry in the South West of England. It coordinates the activities of other food groups such as Taste of the West in the region to avoid duplication and ensure best value from the projects undertaken. 
 
Key activities include encouraging the consumption of locally and regionally produced food and drink, identifying new market opportunities and seeking ways for the industry to improve competitiveness and productivity.
