Tourism businesses across South West England are set to benefit from a £1.6 million project designed to help improve workforce skills.
The South West RDA has invested £1.6 million towards a £2 million project called Tourism Skills 2015, which helps employers to improve staff training and recruitment.
South West England enjoys a growing reputation as a high quality tourist destination but more needs to be done to develop a well-trained workforce to meet the growing expectations of visitors to the region. The South West RDA has supported the Tourism Skills Network since 2001, with a total investment of over £3 million.
