Innovation through Jazz
Can music actually help businesses work more effectively? A highly innovative programme run by the University of Gloucestershire during 2005 certainly seems to have demonstrated that the way jazz musicians work together as a team can act as an inspiring model for companies keen to improve their efficiency and 'think out of the box'.
Their approach involved actually taking a jazz group into factories and offices to show how their team dynamics can successfully combine structure and creative thinking - two ingredients relevant to small businesses competing in the modern global market place.
