Exploiting the Knowledge Base
Knowledge is an increasingly important economic resource. The development and use of knowledge is a key component of innovation, which is critical for regional productivity and competitiveness.
The South West RDA commissioned the study documented in the report below as a first step towards understanding the scope and scale of the regional knowledge base and the ways in which this knowledge base might be better used.
The RDA hopes that the results of this study will encourage debate amongst stakeholders leading to the development of a widely supported set of objectives, policies and mechanisms for strengthening the regional economy through better knowledge exploitation.
