This new European Programme runs from 2007 to 2013. It is jointly funded by the UK Government and the European Union.  
 
The national programme is being led by Defra and is known as the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). However this programme will be delivered in the English regions by Natural England, the Forestry Commission and Regional Development Agencies.
