Setting direction and showing strong leadership towards a sustainable, low-carbon economy is one of the most important things that everybody in the RDA will do in the next 3 years and beyond. 
 
RDA Corporate Outcomes: how we will know if we are succeeding.

• Strategy and delivery are more closely aligned, so that we and our partners are pursuing consistent strategies for South West England.
• Smooth transition and implementation of the Sub-National Review of Economic Development and Regeneration.
• Increased profile, reputation and influence for South West England with decision-makers in the UK and beyond.
• Stronger relationships with key delivery partners and bodies including local authorities.

The RDAs are currently seen by Government as strategic leaders of economic development in their regions. The Sub-National Review of Economic Development and Regeneration (SNR) further strengthens our strategic role by giving us executive responsibility for developing a Single Regional Strategy along with new responsibilities for spatial planning, housing and transport transferred from the South West Regional Assembly. Gearing up for these new functions, and developing the relationships and skills to deliver them, will be a major priority for us.
