Rural Development Programme for England

RDPE Implementation and Delivery

South West Regional Implementation Plan

The South West Regional Implementation Plan - Updated June 2008 (Adobe Acrobat Reader Document - 1682.75kb), produced jointly by the South West RDA, Natural England, the Forestry Commission and other partners, sets out the broad strategy and overall priorities for Programme investment in the region.

The Plan sets out the 8 Investment Themes, which indicate the areas in which funds will be spent. Seven of these relate specifically to the socio-economic elements of the Programme (see table below).

The RDA is working to put in place the necessary infrastructure to deliver the Axis 1 and 3 RDPE activity in region, and working with a wide range of stakeholders to identify and commission projects that will address the socio-economic priorities of the programme.
