Major Projects

Temple Quay The South West of England Regional Development Agency is responsible for a number of programmes to facilitate development of land and property throughout the region. These programmes are a critical part of the RDA's work to ensure that conditions to support business development are in place. 
 
Major projects include:

  • Bristol Science Park - The South West is finally to become home to a major £300 million science park.
  • Plymouth International Business Park - over 40 hectares of serviced employment land on the former Seaton Barracks site.
  • Temple Quarter - three major development projects are reinvigorating the heart of Bristol, one of Europe's leading commercial and cultural centres.
  • Tolvaddon Energy Park - provides low cost business units at Camborne in Cornwall that demonstrate commitment to renewable resources and environmental protection.
  • Osprey Quay - The redevelopment of the former Royal Naval Air Station at Portland in Dorset.
  • Morlands - Somerset's largest derelict industrial site has been acquired by the South West RDA.
  • Littlecombe - regeneration of the site between the towns of Dursley and Cam, Gloucestershire.
  • Gloucester Docks - regeneration and mixed-use development programme for the Docks and surrounding areas of Gloucester.
  • Weston Vision - the 200 acre former communications training camp will form an essential part of the future regeneration plans for Weston Super Mare.
  • Millbay, Plymouth - a major mixed use waterfront development opportunity to spearhead the regeneration of one of the region's most deprived inner city areas.
  • Royal William Yard - regeneration of the former naval victualling yard in Plymouth designed by Sir John Rennie in the 1830s.
