For further information about the RIF, the following documents are available to download.
The RIF Criteria set out how potential RIF investments will be identified. Schemes must address all of the criteria before an investment will be made. If you wish to pursue a possible RIF investment with us, the Regional Infrastructure Fund - Scheme Criteria and Operating Procedures (Adobe Acrobat Reader Document - 118.74kb) offer a good starting point for you to assess your proposal against. The operating procedures set out how the RIF decision making process works.
"Infrastructure" can mean different things to different people. For a list of infrastructures that RIF will invest in, please see RIF Definitions of Infrastructure: Table 1 (Adobe Acrobat Reader Document - 38.36kb). Please note that this list is not exhaustive, but again it offers a good guide to which schemes will be supported by RIF.
To find out more about the responsibilities of the Investment Panel, please click RIF Investment Panel Governance and Accountability (Adobe Acrobat Reader Document - 76.42kb).
As a general guide to the RIF and its aims, read the Regional Infrastructure Fund Prospectus (Adobe Acrobat Reader Document - 214.32kb). This also gives some more detail and ideas about how private finance can be levered into the RIF.
