Over the past six years, the Regional ICT team has provided strong leadership in driving ICT take up by businesses. Building on this success, we plan to focus our ICT work in three key areas of infrastructure, continuing to encourage use of ICT by business and developing effective ICT industry relationships and market knowledge.  
 
As a result, we plan to align our regional ICT work as follows:

• infrastructure-related work, including EU programme commissioned activity, with the Central Development Directorate.
• the promotion of ICT as a driver of productivity (e-business) with Business Services.
• relationships with key ICT companies, market knowledge and liaison with regulatory and trade bodies with the appropriate cluster area in International Business.
