All businesses need appropriate premises for their operation, whether a small office or a major development site. In particular, the South West has to develop property which can support the needs of technology businesses and strategic sites which provide major opportunities for investment and growth.

Priorities

• develop incubators and science parks to support the exploitation of regional research;
• ensure regionally significant sites are brought forward; and
• ensure there is a range of workspace to support the needs of developing companies.

The South West RDA has developed a strategy for Incubation and Science Parks which sets out our policies in respect of these facilities.
