Eurogiciel case study
Summary
An important part of the work of the South West RDA is to
encourage inward investment and support companies who want to
expand their businesses in the South West.
One such company is EUROGICIEL, an international service
engineering company from France, that has set up offices in Bristol
with the help of the RDA.
Details
EUROGICIEL, which has annual turnover of about 50 million euro,
employs 700 people in France and Germany. It has established a
presence at Almondsbury, Bristol to be closer to its biggest
client, Airbus.
ETIQ UK Limited, the UK subsidiary of EUROGICIEL, aims to employ
up to 40 people in Bristol in the next few years.
The South West RDA has been instrumental in helping the company
to establish its local presence by introducing it to new business
opportunities and ensuring it is embedded in the region’s aerospace
sector. This has been crucial in helping the company to get to the
point where it is fully operational in Bristol.
In addition, EUROGICIEL has been working with UK Trade and
Investment and the West of England Partnership to build its
connections with companies in the aerospace sector.
The RDA has also helped the company join the West of England
Aerospace Forum – a membership trade association that champions and
supports the interests of the aerospace and defence industry in
South West England.
EUROGICIEL specialises in quality management, project management
and software system engineering with a strong client base in the
industrial sectors, including aerospace, space, defence and
transport.
As of April 2010, the international inward investment team are
seeing signs of renewed investment activity from the French market
as more companies look to move projects forward after a tentative
period. So, there could be more success stories in the near
future.
