CPO Closure
In the Budget of June 2010 the Government confirmed that all
RDAs across England, including the South West RDA, will close by March 2012.
The Agency had been pursuing Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs)
in two areas:
- Camborne Pool and Redruth (CPR)
- Treliske in Truro
As part of the Agency's Transition and Closure work these CPOs have
been closed.
In implementing the closure process the South West RDA wrote to
all affected parties to inform them of the closure and have dealt
with all outstanding matters that arose from this contact.
At the South West RDA Board Meeting on 12 April 2011 the
Board:
- revoked the East Hill junction CPO and closed the files
- revoked its resolutions to use CPO powers at CPR and
Treliske
- approved closure of three CPO files (Treliske Medipark,
Dudnance Lane Implementation Plan, Trevensen Road Implementation
Plan)
- agreed to publish the resolution to close CPO files on the
website, replacing the existing CPO pages.
As such, the working files for the CPOs have now been
closed.
