Regional (economic) strategy

The Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for South West England was launched in Plymouth on 23 May 2006. It provides a shared vision for the development of the region’s economy for the years 2006-2015. The RES informs the Agency’s corporate plan, which in turn guides the Agency’s work.

Together with the Strategic Leaders’ Board, the South West RDA is now developing a Single Regional Strategy, following assent for the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction (LDEDC) Act. The Single Regional Strategy will eventually replace the Regional Economic Strategy and the Regional Spatial Strategy.
